Give the gift of education to future Perseans
The Leavers’ Gift is a departing gift from the families of Upper Sixth Leavers to the Bursary and Hardship fund. This collective effort supports future Perseans, enabling them to benefit from the same education and opportunities that the Class of 2025 have experienced. The Leavers’ Gift is now in its eight year, with over a total of £300,000 having been raised in this time in support of bursaries at The Perse.
About Perse Bursaries
All Perse Bursaries are independently means-tested. They are available to pupils when joining the School, but also to pupils currently enrolled at The Perse whose families face unexpected hardship, such as the death or illness of a parent, or loss of income.
How can my gift help?
All gifts, of any size, make a huge difference. The power of the Leavers’ Gift is in its collective nature:
- 17 families each giving £50 plus Gift Aid would fund lunch for a year for a bursary recipient.
- 100 families each giving £200 plus Gift Aid would fund one year’s full bursary place.
- Five people giving £1,400 plus Gift Aid would fund one term’s fees.
- A gift of £20,800 plus Gift Aid would fund one year’s full bursary place.
I am delighted to report that a donation of £25,000 has already been pledged to the Class of 2025 Leavers’ Gift. If the Leavers’ Gift collectively reaches a total of £50,000, this would fund a 100% Sixth Form bursary for a pupil joining The Perse for Years 12 and 13. The Class of 2025 would also join the ranks of Dr Perse and our other most generous supporters on the School’s Major Benefactors’ Board in the Main Hall, where the generosity of our most significant philanthropists is commemorated for all to see.
