The Y6 Legacy Gift
Each year, the parents of the Y6 Leavers have very generously donated funds to the Prep for a project to mark their children's time at the Prep. Previous legacy gifts have included a flag pole, benches, a science garden and a contribution towards the outdoor covered theatre and adventure playground.
This year we would like to raise money for a bespoke Prep mural that will cover the main wall in the dining room. The mural will be attributed to the Class of 2024, and it will be something that they can return and see in years to come.
How your gift will make a difference
The dining room is a communal space that is used by all children and staff and could do with some extra colour and life. We have commissioned an artist who has worked alongside our children and staff and made a rough sketch of what this would look like – do see attached. It follows the journey of food from Plough to Plate and will incorporate lots of images of children in Perse uniform. It cleverly creates features out of the doors and radiators along the wall.
The cost of this project is £5,500. We would like to raise at least half of this cost from the Class of 2024. If we exceed our target, any additional funds will go to supporting other projects for the benefit of the Prep.
